Update to ACM FAccT Submission Timeline Beginning in 2027

Dear FAccT community,

We are writing to share an important update to the ACM FAccT submissions timeline beginning with the 2027 conference cycle.

In recent years, FAccT has continued to grow as an interdisciplinary venue for research on fairness, accountability, and transparency in sociotechnical systems. This growth has been reflected in a substantial increase in submissions, which in turn requires additional time to support a rigorous, thoughtful, and fair review process.

At the same time, many members of our global community require visas or other travel authorization to attend the conference in person. Visa issuance timelines can vary significantly across countries and consulates, and longer advance notice of acceptance decisions can help accepted authors make travel plans, request support letters, and complete the necessary processes in time.

For these reasons, ACM FAccT will move its annual submission deadlines earlier, beginning in 2027. The key dates for the 2027 submissions cycle are:

All deadlines are 11:59 PM Anywhere on Earth on the given date.

We recognize that this is a significant adjustment from recent FAccT timelines, and we hope that sharing this now will help prospective authors, reviewers, Area Chairs, and community members to plan accordingly.

We thank the FAccT community for its continued engagement and support, and we look forward to receiving your submissions.
